Cloves and cinnamon are incredible little spices for eliminating bad breath. Cloves have effectual antiseptic properties to remove bad breath and cinnamon has cinnamic aldehyde, which help reduce the amount of bacteria in the saliva. This recipe of clove, cinnamon, minty mouthwash is very simple and will give your mouth a nice dash. The more important thing is that you can use it very often because there are no harming ingredients in it.

Clove, Cinnamon, Minty Mouthwash

Ingredients:

• 1 cup water
• 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
• 1 tsp. whole cloves
• 4 drops of peppermint essential oil

Method of preparation:

1. In a small pot boil the water and add cinnamon, cloves and peppermint. Remove the pot from heat. Leave it for ten minutes, so the spices can infuse.
2. Strain the mixture well with a good mesh strainer. Repeat it twice if necessary.
3. Pour the mixture into a bottle, close it with lid and keep it in the refrigerator.

Convert the mouthwash into a Breath Spray

Do a spray version by pouring the mixture into a spray bottle. This will be very appropriate for keeping it close to you whenever you need it. If you are not fond of cinnamon, you can make this mouthwash only with peppermint essential oil and water.
You can also try munching fresh mint, clove and cardamom. But to halt bad breath in the first place, you should brush often (particularly your tongue) and drink enough water.
