The women from both groups, for three months had a healthy diet with less the 500 calories per day. The only difference among them were the spices they consumed. The 1st group consumed three grams of cumin, for three months, every day. Every morning on an empty stomach they consumed mixed cumin with 140 gr yogurt. The 2nd group consumed yogurt without the cumin in it.
After 30 days, women from the first group lost 14 pounds more than women from the second group (14.64% – 4.91% fat).
This happened because cumin is rich in filosterole that has the ability to prevent the cholesterol retention in the organism. And this is the particular reason why this spice helps in losing extra weight and also boosts the metabolism.
